Quaking Aspen Ranch is a 40 acre parcel at the end of your road. The roads are maintained by a general improvement district, and we are zoned agricultural.  

We are far enough away from the city to be quiet and safe, and close enough to commute if you want to work in town. Experience the dark nights and starry skies without the lights.

We are serviced by the school bus route if you have kids.  We are also the perfect location for homeschooling your children as we did.

The Reno/Sparks metro area is an easy 45 minute drive for those of you who want to commute. 

We are GREEN! 100% off the grid, but close enough to power if you feel you need that.  We are solar powered with a generator back up.  You do not have to depend on anyone for your power needs.  You are your own power company!  If the grid is down, you are up and running normally.  There is also a year around creek with hydro electric possibilities.  Wind is an option if you would like that.

We have a deep well that is also powered by solar, or a generator if you desire.  40 gallons per minute of cold pure water, unpolluted by the affects of people.  10,000 gallons of storage for your irrigation and fire suppression use.  A clear spring rounds out your water needs if you so choose.

The ranch is situated in the foothills of Palomino Valley in a beautiful Nevada Juniper forest.  The current residence is located along Quaking Aspen creek at 6000 feet, and the property rises 200 feet to the top of your own mountain.  There are several level building areas ready for a home, shop, or barn.  Each 40 acre parcel may have two residences. Perfect for the inlaws. If you chose to build at the top, you'd have beatutiful 360 degree veiws of the valley and surrounding Pah Rah mountains, and the Sierra Nevada Range to the West!

Beautiful mature Aspens and Cottonwoods surround your small pond, as well as, a beautiful riparian vegetation ecosystem along the creek...

Honey Suckle, Dogwood, Lilac, Willow, Pines, and Blue Spruce.  We are also very proud of our irrigated mature fruit orchard. Apples, Pears, Plums, Peaches, Apricots, Cherries, and a Hop yard.

There is still plenty of planting room.. maybe a mountain vineyard???

A fenced garden area with Hugles!, green houses, and raised beds.  Three compost bins to make your own soil from your animal manure.

Obviously we are set up to raise Goats! Barn, stalls, milking parlor, out buildings, feed storage, hay shed, pens, breeding area, and a small pasture.

There is also a fenched natural vegitation dry pasture of approximately 5 acres.

Two chicken coops and runs, as well as a secure chick yard, and a large turkey and goose pen.
